Education/Events
Education is an important component of the Advanced Pumping Efficiency Program. There are several ways to participate.
Attend an education seminar – Free educational seminars on various aspects of pumping and water management are provided throughout PG&E’s service area. The APEP web site at www.pumpefficiency.org has an events calendar that lists all presentations and seminars.
Use the Knowledge Base on the web site – APEP publications/resources include a variety of publications created for the program as well as a library of technical papers that you can access electronically for different types of information. The educational resources also include videos and helpful links.
Consult the online Pumping Efficiency module – This web based e-learning module uses “story based” recursive learning techniques to provide a short presentation about pumps, four scenario-based examples of pump conditions and analytical tools to evaluate their saving opportunities as well as a return on investment.
- To access the module, go to to to http://www.californiawater.org/elearning/story.html and select #2 Pumping Efficiency.
Contact APEP for free educational materials – The Program publishes literature explaining the four parts of the education message.
- Contact APEP at any time for free program materials or for information about upcoming events.
